Baby Dedication on Mother's Day
What a special day! We had baby dedication at our church on Mother's Day!
"My son, my daughter, never forget the things I have taught you. If you want a long and satisfying life, closely follow my instructions. Never forget to be truthful and kind. Hold these virtues tightly. Write them deep within your heart. If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don't trust yourself. In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success..." -Proverbs 3:1-18

Changes
So, I went back to work on April 5th and quickly realized that my heart was at home with sweet Reese. This Friday will be my last day with AGT. I will miss it, but I will still be able to enjoy my work with the second part of the career change, I started my own business. It's called Candace McKay Image and Design. My specialties include photography, graphic design, website design, marketing, public relations, etc.
Here's a link to the new website: www.candacemckayimageanddesign.com. I am SO excited about this new chapter in life, especially since it allows me to spend time with Reese and still maintain a professional career. So, tell everyone you know:)
I will keep you posted:)

Happy Easter!
Our first Easter family photo...you know who wouldn't look at the camera. Apparently, she only likes to pose if it's just her in the photo. I am happy to report that she finally has enough hair to keep a bow in, makes her momma proud:) We had a great day together. Sadly, my last day of maternity leave. I have so enjoyed my time at home with this precious little girl. Tomorrow will be a tough day as I will miss her sweet smiles and coos! Keep us in your prayers as we make our transition over the next few days (probably weeks for mommy). Hope you enjoy a few snapshots from our first Easter morning.

Celebrating Easter Week!
We have so many things to celebrate this Easter, but we are reminded of the real meaning that this special time brings.
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.
-John 11:25-26
Happy Easter from the McKay's...we hope that all of our friends and family make special Easter memories this year. We know that this one will certainly be a special one for our little family.

Spring is in the air!
My First Bath
Well, after six long weeks of waiting for the umbilical cord to fall off (just didn't want to come off), Reese finally had her first real bath! She loved it!!! No tears, just grins, probably because her belly was full! She loved the fluffy hooded towel that her Aunt Trish gave her.

Our First Snow
Welcome to Our World, Baby Reese
On January 12, 2010, our family was blessed with a new addition, Reese Caroline McKay. Weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces and measuring 20 inches long, this little bundle of joy has brightened our lives already! Since then, Ryan and I have learned much about life, love and how to survive on less sleep. It's amazing how something so tiny can make such a huge impact...my, how we love her! We are already praying that big things are in store for her, that she will be a blessing to those around her, and that she finds happiness around each and every corner of her life.
The Start of Something Good
So, here's my attempt at a blog for our growing family. Hope you all enjoy a glimpse into our everyday. We miss all of our family and friends that live away, here's hoping that you can watch our family grow even when we can't be together.
